JACK BRUCE Demos 1978+2000

Sherwood Forest Demos, 1978

This is really Alan Holdsworth's demo but Jack plays a prominent role along with Jon Hiseman. Later known as the "Sherwood Forest" demo, it consists of compositions by Holdsworth and Bruce. Sent anonymously to various record labels, it fails to generate any significant interest, bringing the project to a standstill. And both Holdsworth and Bruce moved onto other projects.

1. White Line
2. Bird Alone
3. Where Is One
4. Tightrope

HotFlash Demos, June, 2000

Jack has announced the formation of a new trio HotFlash, with Andy Summers of the Police on guitar and virtuoso Dennis Chambers on drums. (See JACK'S DIARY for details.) An album and tour "were" to follow in early 2001. The album never happened as an official release but the trio did tour. Meanwhile, Jack's other solo project, All Quiet in Cuicoland, continued to develop. It was finished in November, with a little help from some well-known friends. And Jack never got back around to releasing the HotFlash material -- too bad, there's some great stuff here.

5. Blind World
6. Yet The Birds
7. Holy Terror
8. Laughter In The Rain
